James helped me through a very vulnerable time in my life when I was extremely disoriented from being in a liminal transitory phase. I am so thankful I had already done breathwork in his workshop and had established contact with him even before it happened. He has been an anchor for me in my life and has taught me how to be my own anchor. His teachings along with breathwork have been instrumental in my developmental process and I’ve been inspired to commit to this life long process of growth. In my opinion his workshops are very safe and provide a lot of grounding, containment and tools for processing in a non-judgmental setting. He is a committed ritual elder and takes the responsibility of this role seriously which is rare these days. He combines depth psychology with shamanic principles which is a fantastic way to work with the psyche. On top of that, he is excellent at teaching techniques of mature boundary setting, accessing the Warrior archetype and expressing authenticity. Recently, after a workshop he also included some hiking in the mountains of North Georgia which was breathtaking and very healing. For the last several years, James has been a trusted teacher and mentor to me—first as part of a two-year personal development program and then through his neo-shamanic breathwork facilitator’s training program. During this time, I also met with him individually for numerous one-to-one sessions. What separates Neo-Shamanic Breathwork from other breathwork modalities you can find these days in person and/or online, is the emphasis of sacred space, containment and ritual leadership. Why is it important? -Mircea Eliade, one of the founders of history of religions in the US, describes sacred space as such: "a mirror of the cosmos, with the axis mundi at its center. Such a unique position stations sacred space as a bridge between the sacred and the profane, linking man's everyday actions with the work of the gods and thus transforming them into sacred acts." In pre-modern era, people were aware of this, performing rituals and ceremonies in sacred and contained spaces with a a ritual elder. They instinctively knew, that they could access deeper level of the psyche with proper containment and stewardship of the archetypal energies. The world in this sacred container is divine and powerful and it allows for transformation and healing, something which cannot be achieved virtually. I am grateful for my teacher and mentor, James Frazier, through whom I was able to experience how transformative sacred space is. Yesterday, I ended up by faith at "the great circle". A sacred native mound where the powerful energy of sacred space was felt and this synchronicity was a conformation to me of this ancient wisdom of "sacred and profane".

The Neo-Shamanic Breathwork facilitators training with James was the most profoundly transformational experience I have ever had. After attending a one-day workshop with a facilitator who had completed this training with James, I was truly inspired. Since 2005, I have worked in holistic health, fitness, and coaching, and have attended many trainings related to mind-body wellness. I first attended the workshop for personal healing and growth after experiencing a crossroads in my own life. The healing I was able to do in the one-day workshop was so impactful that I felt called to look further into this practice.
